Welcome to this special meetup event that combines spring flower photography and architecture / street photography in beautiful Allan Gardens, Toronto. Our host is Mike Simpson from Tdot Shots and Iconic Toronto. Celebrating Spring Equinox 2023, this special photo walk takes place at Allan Gardens and the Downtown Toronto Yonge St. neighbourhood. Some unique locations are included on this tour!

This is a free event. Please do not sign up unless you can make it. We encourage participants to also join our membership site, Tdot Studio and follow @tdot_shots and @iconictoronto on Instagram.

All are welcome. We will enjoy the wonderful park and greenhouse known as Allan Gardens and then explore the neighbourhoods along downtown between Church and Yonge St. We will walk from Allan Gardens to Toronto Metropolitan (Ryerson) University and wrap up at Yonge and Dundas Square. This evening walk will last approximately 2.5-3 hours.

The guided tour will cover and include:

• The history of the Allan Gardens park and neighbourhood
• Discussion of art, culture and horticulture (the gardens, plants and flowers)
• Tour from Allan Gardens to Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson U.)
• Visit to Image Centre photo gallery (time permitting)
• Nature, street, and architectural photography

You do not need to have a professional camera. Many participants shoot with smartphones. Many of us are happy to share photography tips! We look forward to welcoming you. Don’t miss this opportunity to network, shoot some unique spots, and enjoy the gardens, streets and architecture of downtown TO.

Participants will have an opportunity to submit photos for potential inclusion in posts on our website and social channels. We will try to feature many of your images!
