High Park Fall Nature Photo Walk and Drone Demo in Toronto, October 30 2022

October 30, 2022 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

High Park photo walk with Tdot Shots

Welcome to this special photo walk event that combines fall nature photography and drone aerial photography in beautiful High Park, Toronto. Our host is Mike Simpson and our special guest is local drone and smartphone photographer Kanchan Kumar.

During this meetup we look at:

  • the flora and fauna of High Park
  • fall nature photography
  • drone photography

High Park is a fantastic place to explore the flora and fauna of the Greater Toronto Area including plants, trees and animals typical of Southern Ontario. Learn about the special Black Oak Savannah ecosystem, explore some of the lesser known trails, and meet other nature photography enthusiasts on the walk.

All are welcome. You don’t need to have photography experience or a DSLR. Many participants bring a smartphone.

A safe drone launch demonstration is included. Learn about the operation of the popular micro drone known as the DJI Mavic Mini.

Meeting location: The meeting spot is TBA, you will receive a confirmation email by noon on the day of the event. Please add [email protected] to your address book. We usually email you by noon with tips and updates.

There is a fee of $5 to attend this meetup. You can pay via this site. After purchase an email is sent with a confirmation. If you don’t receive this email please contact us.

Hope you will join us! This is one of our newest walking tours in Toronto! If you have any questions please reach out! Contact me: [email protected]

Here are some High Park aerial photos by Kanchan. This area is the Hillside Gardens by Grenadier Pond. In spring the sakura cherry blossoms are marvelous. In fall we expect to see some wonderful autumn foliage.

High Park has a wonderful variety of flowers, plants and trees, spread out along grassy and wooded areas. Here are some highlights from summer and fall. This group of photos by Kanchan.

Our first photo walk (ever) took place in fall 2018. Here is the post that followed the walk. Note: this walk took place in mid October. For our late October walk we expect more leaves to have changed colour and fallen from the trees. However we can’t predict exactly when “peak fall” will happen.
